Re: Kotas for Northern tribes' overmap village tile If it's any consolation, it's quite hard to spot those villages with reasonably normal vision as well...

I think your suggestion is a good one both visually and thematically. The only problem I see is how to distinguish them from the kota sites that already exists (at least some bugged sites resulted in a kota image and just a single kota rather than a village, due to some problem with fitting the village to the terrain. I believe that bug has been fixed, though).

I wonder if that 'clearing zoom files'-trick could be used to flush out modded, outdated flora? (Flora with different specifications than those found in current flora*.txt files.) @Sami @Erkka

It doesn't affect to that, or any other game data. Just removes the map at the said location.

Straw was used as insulator as well. Both in footwear ...

At least what I think of straw (or hay) would be really coarse and stingy to put against your feet... Just to be accurate here, the "shoe-hay" is a spesific species of grass, leaf of which is triangularish in cross-section. Bundles of it are gently pounded soft before using in shoes.

Yep. Isn't it basically all the umm sedges (maybe  that's the english name for the family of those grasses) , or 'sarakasvit' in finnish that are suitable. Even if there are regional differences in availability there's some to found all around Finland.

Foreign traders’ merchandise? Is it possible to mod what items Foreign Traders carry for sale?
I.e. can I have them carry salt? Can I have them carry e.g. langseax (I don’t want character to be able to smith themselves)

Putting Out Fires Title. Currently, afaik, the only way to stop a fire from spreading along a fence or a wall is to deconstruct any wooden structures in the fire's path.

We should be able to put out fires by standing next to the fire with a container full of water, "a"->apply the tub/skin/etc. and have this either reduce the fire's size or put it out entirely, depending on how much water was in the container.

Re: [3.63] Grouses will not land Still flying is very old glitch which has troubled all the birds in the game occasionally. It's a result of new bird's life task (eg. "stay alert and observe the surroundings") being assessed for the creature without checking the flying condition. The contradictory tasks then caused the birds freezing in their flight.
Some tweaks have been now made to hopefully prevent the issue in the future.

Fixed - persists in 3.63.
