Re: [Forum] Reached posting limit in Suggestions Yep, it's one post per day limit there. We had hard time even to keep reading them all with a thought so a limit was added. I know many devs don't take suggestions all that seriously, but we like to spend some time with them, and really read and consider - and even reply once in a while.

seal-catching and dangers of entangling into a net The proper way to catch seals would be the net, btw. (instead of the heavy deadfall)

...and people, and other swimmers. (insert Devil-smiley here)

A killer for seals, waterfowl and people nowadays too.

EDIT: Btw the 5lbs seems far too little skin for the massive grey seal.

Re: Skin sizes, adjust please. You stole my suggestion! Also the bird skins seem all about 0.3lbs regardless of bird size.

I'd put more on grey seals than ringed and elk calves yield not smaller than adult reindeer.

(Minor QoL) Remember last zoom level upon game launch plus savegame load Hi,

Currently (v.3.63) on Windows
a) Launching the game (from desktop), then loading a savegame results in loss of player's previously active zoom level setting (i.e.: game starts with default zoom level of maximum zoom in).
b) If savegame was played for a bit, then player backs out to main menu, and finally re-loads a savegame at that point zoom level is retained.
Based on the above, it appears zoom level setting is stored in memory but not written to disk.

I acknowledge this is a small QoL thing and not urgent in anyway. Having said that, I think it would be a small improvement if zoom level is stored on disk and retained every time.

Thanks

Re: Njerpez War camp?  OK I'm starting to get a bit worried here..
I'm just peacefully trying to work on a Mythological/Fairytale mod and these guys are closing in on me.

Re: Zoom In during spring, thin ice I've fallen through ice just by zooming in on open mire surrounded by sea on two sides.

I got placed in the corner of the mire, where was only ice over (sea) water.

I haven't died of this (yet) but I'd surely be unhappy to drown when not even wanting to go on ice.

Re: Island challenge stories Thx. I try to align the very center pixel of (the massive red dot showing) my position in line with my target green island dot as precisely as possible. Nearing it, the red dot will cover the target and usually I don't have to zigzag too much if I took care to aim right. But when I think I should be meeting land at any time, I start to zigzag.

Resembles a bit like aeroplane landing simulation: steady approach from far away helps a lot.

I have no idea if diagonals differ in fatiguing. Turning takes time though.

This looks to be another spambot snuck through

Yeah I also noticed that, for somehow the question sounded familiar. I banned the user account but left the thread for it had already generated good replies, which might be useful for new players facing similar questions. But I forgot to mention that, like I did in some other similar cases where I've edited the post to describe the action taken. Sorry about that, I'll try to remember making a public mention whenever I decide to ban or delete a spambot account while leaving the thread.

Re: More usefulness for curing
That’s great, I’ve not heard of wear-tanning of leather fur before! (Something to search and study for me)
Which makes me automatically think about allowing cured skin to be used as fur-leather, but limit the product’s quality 1-2 levels.

This was a stone-age method, and even if somebody had relied on it in the iron-age too we have to draw a line somewhere - like I said. It's not necessary, nor possible, nor good gaming experience (in my opinion) to have all the possibilities in there, but rather to feature the typical and characteristic ways that deliver the experience we like to deliver. I kind of always trust quality over quantity.

Re: Using water from containers on ground - eating and drinking from table
If the game would simply use water from containers on ground automatically (for example from largest first) or at least include the water containers on the ground on the inventory menu. This would be a *huge* interface improvement. Why are the tubs so small anyways?

Relating to this - it would be cool for table top contents to appear on the list menu when 'e'ating or 'q'uaffing. That way having a table in one's cottage would really be a lot of help as in real world as well.

This sort of functionality, especially to use ground containers in various task, has been suggested and replied before. The ground items are handled differently within the game mechanics so including them to this-and-that is quite costly. We’ll seek ways to allow some easiness to ground item usage, when time allows.
