Re: Ability to set aspect ratio 16:9 Yes, it would be neat. I don't like those lateral black bands :P

Re: Ability to set aspect ratio 16:9 Yeah, that's where we are heading at some point -> 16:9.
Requires some rework on the graphics and UI to do it in away that stands some time so this won't happen overnight, but rest assured it will happen.

Re: Lord Mandalore reviews UnReal World I got the impression that the guy was embarrassed to be reviewing Unreal World because of the graphics. He couldn't get around that. He highlighted a lot of good points, but very briefly. When I read the comments, it appeared that his disdain had been absorbed by his viewers, too. For what purports to be a 'good review', his opinion failed to sway...

There is a better guide I could recommend- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5LEFZgOqJs&lc=z23hdnzpslfwc3p4m04t1aokgy4p41oopr4qli3tko3wbk0h00410

Re: Does cooking with a quality pot have any benefits? Hope that will be added.

One thing in the BAC Mod is a hollowed wooden stump for a pot. I lowered the quality output on it (IIRC) to reflect its primitive nature.

I also like to think of "fine" and better items to possibly reflect some extra features, perhaps the pot has short legs to make it easier to put hot coals up around it or a loop handle so you can hang it over fires at different heights for different recipes.

In real life you can use such to boil water by repeatedly putting fire heated rocks into the water. As one set of rocks cools take them out and put in newly hot ones.

Re: Finding an item I once lost a valuable load of furs when a pack of wolves surprised me with my animals. I didn't realize I'd lost a cow until I'd traveled a long way and then had to find a way to locate where I'd encountered the wolves.

So, you look in the msglog.txt and find a message created at the time you last used the item. There will be a 8-digit code which is interpreted as the x-y coordinates. Compare that location to your present location and do a little math and you can return to the last location of the item.

I THINK that's what you were asking. If not, forgive the longwinded reply!!

Re: Rafts!
Going upstream with a raft may well be impossible, while going downstream would be fairly easy (although rapids may be a danger to both punts and rafts). Propelling a water craft against the wind is also harder than going with the wind.
Of course, these things would require elaboration of the environment, but this IS a suggestion thread...

Yep. In a perfect unreal world all this - and more - should be featured. :)
Development goals list already mentions:

Challenge to moving in rapids and rivers:
 *   boating upriver to be more fatiguing and difficult
 *   rapids being risky and dangerous to boat in and swim
 *   capsizing watercrafts

ft of Cord Instead of having a separate length of cord why not make them all 1ft? The item would then be called "ft of Cord" and the length would be in the quantity. Each recipe would make 15 pieces. This would eliminate quite a bit of micromanagement and be easier to program. It would also cut down on item limits as each grade of cord would be 1 item no matter how many feet you have. Same could be done for rope.

Just a suggestion.

Field dress/quarter big game Option to field dress or quarter game. It might make the difference in weight reduction to be able to pick or pack carcasses and transport back to a preferred processing location.

Winter Update, Steam Autumn Sale Firstly, Autumn Sale on Steam has started, so those who've been itching to enter the far north on Steam can now do it for discounted price.

Secondly, as mentioned earlier we're also planning a small patch update still this year. It's coming up nicely. News about some features will follow next week.

Thirdly, for those who are wondering when might 3.60 (and so on) to be released outside Steam, the answer is after the seasonal Steam sale periods for 2019 are over.

And lastly, here's some winter greetings to all of you!
