Swedish archaeologists uncover remains of 8,400-year-old dog "The remains of a dog dating back several millennia have been uncovered at a pre-Viking era burial site in Sweden, making it the oldest such find in the country.

The dog was discovered at an Iron Age burial site in Blekinge, southern Sweden, along with what archaeologists believe are grave goods – valuable or sentimental possessions buried with the dead.

"This is the oldest burial find of a dog in the country. The dog is well-preserved, and the fact that it lies buried in the middle of a stone age building is unique," said osteologist Ola Magnell."

Re: [3.63] "NUMPAD 0" registering as "0" I tried reproducing the bug after I posted the message. I remember this bug from my playtimes but never really bothered to open a topic about it as I thought this was a keyboard issue.

Now as far as my reproducing attemps go, I can't seem to reproduce it really. Maybe the "bug" fixed itself I don't really know. Thanks for checking the code for us though  ;D

Why I carry a rock in real life Why I carry a rock in real life.

Lessons (mostly) from the Unreal World game:

= Its a hammer for building
= Its a digging tool, better than my hands
= Digging can get me to flexible thin roots for cordage
= Roots and plants can be rubbed against an edge of the rock to cut them
= It can be weight to help braid roots into stronger "rope"
= It can bash against branches as a crude axe
= Two rocks can start a fire and I already have one
= It can be thrown to get food, by pinging a squirrel or wounding a rabbit
= It can be put in a fist as a knuckle puncher
= It can be rolled in the fingers as a stress relief mediation
= It can be banded on a rock or tree as a rescue signal
= Rocks can be pets to talk too, I mean its only bad when the rock talks back

Yes I carry a rock. When people ask me why these are rambled off.

Unreal World crafting if stranded and unequipped begins with: a rock.

So I start with a rock!

Get a rock.

Have a rock.

Be one with the earth.

Thank you, URW! It's been about a year since I first played URW.This game .. Oh.. I Think it did a lot for me.She signed my interest in history, and now I'm thinking about connecting my life with it.I became more interested in nature, trips to the village began to bring pleasure, even while working.I am immensely grateful to the developers for creating and still developing this game.As a 15-year-old I enjoy spending my evenings building my cabin, or hunting elk, thank You! Re: Lots of angling improvements on their way Great!

Of course fishing is "op", but it is in real life also... no wonder the biggest cities of the world have grown at the coastlines, while fish is feeding 30% of the world's population.

But most importantly, players must have a reason to build characters on fishing-lifestyle.
At the moment, fishing is efficient and rewarding, but not as interesting as a hunting lifestyle. And i would love to see this game walking further on the path of rewarding not only strength, speed and physical supremacy, but also patience and carefully planning.
If you kill an elk or even a bear, suddenly hunting becomes "op", increasingly so if you manage to dry the meat and dont have to worry about food for a long, long time. And honestly, after a while hunting becomes quite easy, even with crude equipment. If you know how to bait, how to choose the hunting grounds, how to move and get your prey fatigued.

Sorry, back to topic: One thing i'd love to see would be fish traps in shallow water(preferably in fords), as these evidently had been one of the main food aquiring methods of early mankind. They should be easy to make, but with low and not guaranteed catch sizes, especially if you chose a poor location...

another feature i could imagine would be attracting fish by throwing food into the water. Perhaps even influence the outcome by different foods.

And speaking of fishes: I havent seen a single living one yet...
Even if its just a cosmetic change, implementing some live marine animals which you can observe occasionaly would add a great depth to the game atmosphere. Imagine some wales or silver swarms of herring passing by in the distance...
