Re: Limping and animal size tracking information Very interesting, I always thought that tracking is somewhat weak at its current state. Its very useful, but still kinda weak, so more info its gives - the better. You know, it might be worthwhile to consider some kind of auto-follow option for good trackers. Say, a tracker with over 50% would have an option to auto follow tracks till the prey comes in sight. But then again, this might be a bit too much, just a thought.

P.S. Its been a while for me, glad to see you guys are still at it. At least some things are stable in this world and you can depend on those crazy Finns to keep on with the development no matter what ;)

Re: In the forest cover quest: tracks in the ice and locked out of wilderness map Reproduced: it's late winter month and I have a ram in the forest cover quest who won't follow me back to town. I left him behind by mistake and have just gone back for him and am zoomed in with him. We're in a mire of some kind, not near any lakes so the ice may be a red herring.

I'll send you an email

Re: Start-of-the-year post   We're having a similar winter here in Michigan. It didn't really freeze until well into December and we're still having most days with high temperatures above freezing and nightly lows only just below freezing. Not much snow either.
I'm working on clearing the invasive Asian Bittersweet vines from my property... a Herculean job I can only do in the winter because I seem to be allergic to them during the growing seasons.
Oh, and your Ugri Archer videos inspired me to take up archery starting about 3 months ago! Using my father's bow made for him in the 1950's which is still in very good condition. I'm really enjoying target shooting in my barn, which is a 17 yard distance, and I manage to average 60-70% hits on a letter-size paper, shooting 48 arrows 2-4 times per week.
Would it be a bother if I emailed you occasionally about archery?

Remember you can only gain 3 skill points per day :D

Seriously though, that's awesome. To bad it can't be used against the dreaded plant.

Re: transporting heavy objects on wilderness map Well, I don't think you should be able to pick up anything from an adjacent overland map, as that would mean extending your arms 100 meters or so (I haven't even tried). As Sami said, bringing the items up there implies you were able to carry them, and so would be able to move them while carried, but that may be terribly inconvenient in the middle of winter, as you can carry unlimited amounts as long as each thing you pick up is below the limit, and so might have to shed all your clothes and other equipment to actually move with that small elk carcass.

Regardless, it doesn't seem to be a very important issue (although it might allow you to cross ice with burdens you shouldn't be able to carry across, at least not in one go).

Re: [3.61, Windows 10] Items are no longer showing as unpaid when I pick them up Sounds good. I'm quite enjoying the new game I started. As you probably would expect, there are no map maintenance or trading issues with that game so far.

Re: [3.61, Windows 10] Items are no longer showing as unpaid when I pick them up Awesome Sami, you're a gentleman and a scholar.

Guess I'll try to zoom in less frequently.

Cheers.

Re: [3.60 stable linux] Everlasting dog bone Some more info about this: all bones below a certain size are everlasting. dogs, badgers, hares, foxes, their bones last forever. elks, forest reindeer, humans, their bones get eaten up.
