Re: Noob Questions
These questions have already been answered six years ago in Reddit. I'm afraid I have to judge the OP to have some spammy intentions.

Damn, I was just about to write my thesis about how to start off with the game :'( :'(

Please do, and post it in the guides section. If it’s really excellent... thesis level... it’ll get stickied.

Re: Peeling bark I think it’s intended. As if you try to peel bark in fall/winter the game prompts: “It is not possible to peel bark at this time of the year.
The best season for harvesting bark is early summer

That bit in gray to me indicates it’s intended feature. If you peel bark with spring start, you’ll get 60-80’ lengths, then from Seedtime/Fallow you get up to 110’ (I think), and it’ll diminish to 50’ by Harvest. Fall, you likely won’t get any.

Re: Simplifying keystrokes? Cursor on-hover ‘tooltip’ could be handy.

As for the 1,2,t under ‘look mode’, unless you’re adjacent to the looked tile, only ‘t’ would be viable choice. And if you’re adjacent to a tile, you can hit ‘x’, then the directional key on NumPad to look in to that (visible) direction.
Granted, the x look doesn’t generate the NPC wields—wears—carries window as look does, it’s still handy AND it doesn‘t require exit/Escape after.

Oh, also, the info box goes away with any click, not just Esc.
E.g. Alt-e for hErblore checks, you can keep tapping Alt-e to activate the check-something-in-inventory, then either alphabet shortcut or arrows+Enter to check it, then Alt-e to close the info box and alt-e again to check another item. (Handy when working couple points of fatigue off, and with various ‘peculiar, sweet and nice’ plants in inventory)

Re: Dogs eating priorities Marrow in a dry split cow femur 6”/15cm piece will last few hours with my dog (55lbs/25kg “puppy” she only 10mo, but definitely a power chewer)
Non-split lasts lot longer. As do antlers. Once the marrow is gone, it’ll take several hours to gnaw the bone away. Antlers last at least twice as long. Rabbit bones, don’t last long at all.

Some dogs aren’t strong chewers and with them the bones last very long time. Dog’s size doesn’t matter.

TL;DR; I think the bone durability is modeled well enough in game.

[Adjusted - persists in 3.63] Impossible trade, foreign traders' carry limit. I finally found a FT to offer a fine habergeon. But he can't accept the furs, that he asked as payment. Mixture of Decent-Fine, Summer-Winter furs. See attached.

(If the Traders' carry limit isn't something to be adjusted, maybe the traders could utilize communal trading for their group, similar to villages'; and to split the furs carried amongst them rather than all act individually)
