Re: Frostbitten toes! Thanks, Smash. I'll put them on my list of items to find early on.

Footwraps needed There's a consensus that our characters are in need of something to fend off the cold when the warm, woolen, gloves/mittens/socks are not available. It was suggested that our characters should be able to fashion simple footwraps and the like from our woolen scraps.

Crafting leather harnesses? I was looking at a bunch of leather I've got for which I presently have no use and it occurred to me that these beasts of burden, cow and deer, could require harnesses and packs in order to carry loads. I suppose that would fall under hide working skill. What do you think?

Additionally, I pondered whether the value of furs should be reduced because, again, I have a lot of furs and nothing worth trading them for anymore. I know, balancing economy is, well, a bear...heh.

I know I could craft leather and fur armor and such but, frustratingly, villagers consider that such items are fairly worthless and, if I give these things to a Companion, too often they can't (apparently) wear them because of the weight. It's a bit confusing why villagers devalue crafted fur items while foreign traders will pay well for the furs.

Re: Footwraps needed I didn't ask for a skill. I asked for a way to use woolen scraps to form foot rags, which already exist in the game in limited amounts.

Re: "The Challenge" Trying it out for the 1st time. Random tribe is Drik, which means I have almost no skills at all. I managed to get ONE skill up to 50% with a creation point- SWORD...lol.

Threw rocks at a hare and some birds, all to no avail. A stone knife allows for fire and branches, and three found slender trees permit me to make a shelter, which takes me SIX HOURS to complete...bah! I just de-construct and carry the spruce twigs and the slender tree trunks with me when I leave.

Fed on lingonberries, 'sweet' berries, and 'nice' grass for 3 days. Even when I eat my fill of berries I'm told it leaves me unable to quench thirst, which was at least not yet fatal.  Found a lake on day 4. The area immediately taunted me with a doe and fawn. Didn't even try because I can't be away from fire long enough to chase them. I did brain a squirrel that wandered near. One cut and a ragged fur.

Even Neanderthals dressed better than me...

Re: Flooding Great idea! I'm from Louisiana where hurricanes and the Mississippi river cause such flooding annually.  And, maybe that's why my cabins wind up on the high ground in the game, too...lol.

Re: Frostbitten toes! After extensive travel and incurring frostbite on both feet, I finally found linen footrags! Despite very low temperature, I have not had another instance of cold feet.

Re: Adding marriage - poll about how you find its priority Sami- I'm already 70 years of age, so, if you do add marriage eventually but I've died of old age, it's a comfort to know that Steam will automatically update my game for me. On the downside...(hehehe)

Re: Greetings lol... I learned a hard lesson when I sent my first dog in pursuit of a hare and he never came back! Never even seen a Masterwork Javelin.

You're gonna have fun, mate. Enjoy!
