Re: [3.63 - Steam] Force transaction?
I also reported a trade bug in the thread called 'Stolen Fur'. One month later, it has gotten zero response.
I read your post just now but it seems to be two different issue if I understand it correctly, as your brought fox fur mysteriously turn into a reindeer fur? Haven't encountered this issue yet and since the post got 100+views with no response, you might encounter a rather rare bug. At least it turns into something more valuable :D

I had the same issue. It was a stack of 143 roasted elk cuts that I had sold them previously, but when I came back to the village later, the stack was showing as 143 roasted elk cuts (taken), regardless of if it was on the floor or in my inventory, and the villagers were asking me to pay for it. I did try to grab and drop the stack several times to remove the tag, but it stayed. Removing the stack from my inventory using URWCharacterMenu didn't remove it from the pending transactions either.

That sounds like the villagers were disappointed by your cookery skill and want their money back lol

I just re-read my Stolen Fur post and, yes, it does sound like one fur became something else. I've added one word to give the correct meaning, 'I ALSO found'. That fur is still identified as "Taken'. The villagers still treat me normally, as though nothing is missing. Some how, there is a glitch in the action of returning a Taken item to the angry villager.

Re: What will happen when using watercraft with hired companions? I recently hired 5 Companions to hunt a group of thieves. The ice thawed while the hunt went on and when I left I had to make rafts and break the ice to cross the now-brittle rivers. Two Companions died trying to walk across the ice, by drowning.

On separate occasions, I've lost at least 3 other Companions who were trying to swim behind my raft. Some had previously crossed the waters where they died. I assume that fatigue factors heavily in their survival, perhaps swimming skills, too.

So, in answer to the question, they CAN die from drowning.

Re: [3.63] NPC hunters don't pick up their arrows.
@Tom H
Kind of off-topic, but I am currently searching a former companion who failed to return his village and went missing. Can you provide more information/ details how your former companion behaves right now? Like which area/terrain the companion wander most and is it able to see this companion in zoom-out map? Normally how do you find this companion, or he just stuck in one of the tiles and refuse to leave? Thanks in advance.

I 'see' him on the Strategic map, in the distance. When I see him it's always within 3 hex areas of my settlement. He has returned to my settlement several times, felling trees (that were part of my fence!) and hunting. It seems he'll chase a bird when hunting, so, he'll move around a lot but I can't say if he travels past that three hex area I see him in.
He does not appear to be intent upon returning to his home village.

It just occurred to me to wonder how he acquired those several bird skins when he had no knife of any kind at the time until I gave him mine?

Re: [3.63] NPC hunters don't pick up their arrows.  The same former Companion is still in my area. I found him chasing a wounded deer. Two game days later he chased it into my deadfall in the area. I watched as he skinned and butchered it. He left 5 cuts so I took those and reset my trap. heh

Re: Need help on the "Kaumo furs" quest ALL it takes is for a Fine quality fur to be skinned. I've done the quest several times with just a Fine squirrel fur. As soon as you skin off that Fine quality fur, the quest will update your success.

BUT, it has to be within Kaumo lands!!

Re: [3.63] Ghost-Spruces in the forest I daresay the solution to your puzzlement lies in the statement, "You fail to deliver a steady throw", not with the location of the dogs pictured.

Re: [3.63] Ghost-Spruces in the forest
There is nothiong on that tile but a dog, I checked it several times, and if you have looked well at the picture you would also have seen it. I really like people who just try to slap off something by a half-baked assertion or speculation.

Who can read has a clear advantage :)

Normally I  dont quote myself, but foryou I make an exception ;)

The point is that it doesn't matter where the dog is because you MISSED when you threw it. Next to the mentioned spruce is where it actually landed.

Re: [3.63] Ghost-Spruces in the forest Also, an "Honorary Lifetime Supporter" gets to learn the secret handshake and only has to spend weekends in the barrel...  (Well, that's what I heard!)

Re: Third party programs?
already found in the game. As I understand it, the places I have not been yet are crafted by Schrödinger, and nobody knows what the result will be until you walk into the village so see it.

Just for the record, I've seen many lynx in-game, but never a cat...
