Njerpez Cookery Mod v2.0 - Dec 2025 Update! [URW 3.87+]
NJERPEZ COOKERY MOD - Dec 2025 Update! by Bedlam v2.0 for URW 3.87+ Steam and Free-versions Cook like Picasso, eat like a steppe chieftain. A fascinating variety of new Njerpez-culture inspired cookery recipes to play with. The mod features dozens of new dishes and reworked old favorites, carefully balanced for gameplay purposes. There are no "filler" recipes, everything here has its proper use and a strategic importance in the life of the nomad warrior. No longer will you cringe when opening your cookery menu, to just give up and "stick to my smoked cuts", with this mod you always have a wide variety of synergistic and exciting new options to work with. Most have some kind of real-life link to the prototypical Njerpez culture. What's new at a glance: ![]()
Basically, the only thing we're not going to be cooking in this mod is Njerpez cuts. So sorry, our cannibal brothers and sisters, this is not the mod for you despite the misleading title. If however, your interest is piqued to try some of these steppe goodies, then I am hopeful you will enjoy it at least as much as I do in my games. Njerpez cooking has many interesting "strategies" in it to discover, and I will dedicate a whole post below to offer a guide to both enlighten you to some new possibilities and give a little historical context. Meanwhile... grab it below. What changed in version 2.0: - the famous cookery overhaul got an overhaul itself, many recipes adjusted for latest URW version - spoilage rates on some dishes reasoned down to somewhat "more realistic' levels where appropriate based on extensive research I did on perplexity.AI, repeatedly demanding to know how long it would take for a bean taco to spoil in an iron age Finnish cellar in summer, assuming it's not snowing too hard on that day. - Three all-new bonus recipes included! - Updated visual recipe guide is finally back in action, with some new pics & descriptions. - Mod will now come with a visual PDF recipe guide included so you can refer to it even offline if you ever forget what "Pelmeni" was, just look it up, takes one second. It's doughy Njerpez dumplings, buddy. - All new ability to make Aspic with animal bones! - All the fixes and improvements I made to the original mod with community help (thanks everyone who reported and fixed bugs!). V2.0 of the mod is the version I'm playing with myself at the moment extensively, and I am quite enjoying it, so I wanted everyone to have it available as well in their games. - NjerpCooking v2.04 introduces fixes, better PDF guide, and a new recipe: "Villain Stew" Recipes in this mod never create extra nutrition out of thin air: all nutrition value is derived by the game from your actual ingredients used, properly and realistically. Installation: if you want v2.0, then download two files: NjerpezCookery 2.0 - for URW v3.87 and newer.zip NjerpezCookery 2.0 - for URW v3.87 and newer.z01 for the old version, you only need to download: NjerpezCookery Mod 1.01 for URW.zip Installing NjerpCookery 2.0 - for URW 3.87+ [RECOMMENDED] To install this mod properly, you need to follow two steps now: 1) Copy the included files and "truetile" folder to your URW folder (confirm overwrite when asked). 2) Open the text file "diy_glossary.txt" in the URW folder, search for this entry (it's under Containers): .Birch-bark pot. [effort:1] [phys:hands,one-armed] *CARPENTRY* /30/ |-2| [patch:5] [noquality] {Sheet of birch-bark} [remove] [patchwise] {Branch} [remove] [noquality] [patchwise] .. and simply delete that entire entry there. Save with Ctrl-S, and close the file. All done. (Why this is necessary: the mod adds its own redefinition of this entry, in order to restore this pot's capacity to 6 lb and make it work effortlessly with Njerp cooking recipes. If you don't do this step to remove the original, you'll then have a confusing dupe entry in your crafting menu). If you need the original NjerpCookery 1.01 - old version for URW 3.30+ [LEGACY & FREE URW versions]: Spoiler: show Have fun! February 12, 2018, 07:53:58 AM |

Vivi's Skill Training 3.86.1
Tired of repetitive spear throwing and arrow shooting? Don't want to waste resources just to upgrade your lacking carpentry? Absolutely done with button mashing for training your skills? Well fear no more! With this mod, kiss goodbye to everything above. Adds skill training to the game! Now you no longer have to waste resources/do things on repeat. Due to the way this is done, you can do multiple crafts at once; no more repetitive button mashing to train a skill! You will need to get Training Session from the Craft & Lore Training Menu in addition to the requirements listed below. They weigh 0, and each session takes 10 minutes. The max you can do in one go is 4 hours(so 24 Training Sessions at once). Don't forget, each skill is hardcoded to only go up to max 3% a day, so if you manage to hit that in however many training sessions in a day, you should probably stop. Installation/update Instructions: Just put it into the Unreal Game folder. That's it! To update-just download the latest version, unzip the files in the URW Directory, and let it overwrite existing files. (Unless explicitly stated otherwise, check changelog for any additional details) Agriculture: Needs a shovel and any type of seeds Building: Axe and a Log(of any type) Cookery: Raw Meat/Fish and Fire Herblore: Any type of Flowers Fishing: Fishing rod Hideworking: Animal Skin Timbercraft: Axe and be near a Spruce Tree Netmaking: Netting needle, Yarn and Cord(With a certain amount of foot/metre) Bowyer: Axe, Knife, Board, Bowstring Physician: Bandage Trapping: Paw-board fox trap Tracking: None Weatherlore: None Textilecraft: Fibre and a Spindle Carpentry: Axe and a Log Skiing: Skis and a Ski-stick Stealth: None Climbing: Be near a spruce tree Swimming: be at a Lake/River/Sea terrain, and be in Water tile Dodge: rock Unarmed: None Weapon training will need their respective weapons! Bow/Crossbow will need arrow. This mod adds 3 menus to your mod's Make menu, each of which show cases the respective skills of that category. You may open this menu by using shift + o(the letter, not number). Crafting & Lore Training Menu Physical Training Menu Combat Training Menu PS: I wanted to attach images to show, but idk why the img tag isn't working... oh well. ------------ Changelog Notes(As of URW Version 3.85+ Stable, on 4th February 2025) 1. Pausable crafts being gradually added may cause training sessions to be PARTIALLY CRAFTED, and can't be discarded. There is no truetile for the session tokens, so you are either stuck seeing it in your inventory forever or left somewhere you can't see forever. This can't be fixed until Discards-discards it, or be able to reactivate the session. I recommend being as energetic as your character can be before gallivanting off into a 4 hour session of any skill. And never doing a training session unless your character state is above 'Ready to Drop' and your fatique levels are not too low. (I finally managed to replicate the bug. And yes, can't remove it, its perpetually there. ;( ) Opened a bug report https://www.unrealworld.fi/forums/index.php?topic=7440.msg23893#msg23893, please feel free to add to it. ------------ Changelog v1.1 (Updated as of URW Version 3.82, on 12th October 2023) - Fixed Club training being overwritten by Craft Club option - Added description for Fishing training. Fishing can be trained by having a Fishing rod with any hook, or no hook at all. ------------ Changelog v1.2 (Updated as of URW Version 3.84.2, on 23rd May 2024) - Added Netmaking skill training! - Added Bowyer skill training! ! Note that carpentry and bowyer skills have duplicate options in their own respective skill menus still. No idea why but it is ignorable. ------------ Changelog v1.3 (Updated as of URW Version 3.85 Stable, on 11th February 2025) - Carpentry skill training fix due to Logs now having a type(spruce, pine, etc) ------------ Changelog v1.4 (Updated as of URW Version 3.86.1 Stable, on 17th July 2025) - file names(diy_*.txt / menudef_*.txt) have been changed to have starting prefix of mod_ due to game's update to its modding system - The duplicate options noted in v1.2 is now fixed due to the new modding system - Submenu names have been changed to lower case, following syntax stated in mod_menudef_example.txt ! Menus have been moved from the vanilla game's make menu to the modded make menu, which can be opened with shift + o(the letter, not number). ! Updating to this version requires you to delete the previous versions of this mod. March 31, 2023, 06:02:25 PM |

Vivi's Spirits 3.86.1
Vivi's Spirits Mod Also known as the 'spawn in everything forest/lake mod'... I'm joking. About the mod: Rituals, and prayers to the deities Mielikki, Tapio, and Ahti Specialised Tools to be able to do the above(and their own pngs) Ability to make fur/leather cover, and Kota to use these covers We work under a favor system, inspired by Rudy's Magic mod ![]() Installation Instructions: Copy and paste all files to the URW directory You may want to backup biy_glossary! Utility Articles: Shaman Necklace - Allows you to do rituals Kantele - Allows you to do prayers fur cover - For kota, if you decide to replace biy-glossary leather cover - For kota, if you decide to replace biy-glossary The cover is needed for kota, as fur tokens don't count as a Cover for vanilla Kota usage(despite it being a simulation for fur, so the workaround is that we make covers out of both vanilla fur and the fur tokens). You can decide not to use it if you don't want to, but i recommend to do so. In any case it is more or less the same as vanilla, just that a cover can be made with the least amount of fur to carry around now. In vanilla, the minimum amount of leather/fur that would count is 4.5kg. So all the covers made with either fur or leather will need that amount of fur/leather and will weight that amount! The kantele is an instrument used in olden finnish-or lets pretend it is. My finnish history is shit. Wishlist: Horsehair instead of bronze... Rituals: Allows you to sacrifice raw meat/fish, bones, and antlers. No sacrificing skulls! The bear is sacred, and as for seals... well does it matter? Mielikki Prayers: Cloudberries Noaidi's Mushrooms All none poisonous herbs(therefore excluding: Bog flower, Marsh Calla, Water Lily, Wolf Pipe) Note that if you do not have enough herblore, it will show as... idk, puffy grass and random adjectives! Its different per game so as to make the player unable to see what herb it is(until herblore is leveled ofc). They still work the same, I like to think of this as the forest teaching you what grass/flower it is. They're also kinda useless ingame because its rare you get sick, you have shaman to heal you for free, and also you rarely would get very injured to need them. Its still cool to roleplay as a herbalist/shaman, if you so wish, or actually try out the effects and see how the herbal system works. The forest offers you cloudberries for they are the most plentiful and able to stave off your hunger. Noaidi mushrooms are essential for communing with the spirits! Mielikki is a known healer who may gift herbs to those who know to ask. She is the lady of the forest and the wife of Tapio. Tapio Prayers: Fur Token: Allows one to double the amount of fur they have on hand. 2.5kg to 5kg. Inherits the fur that is used! So if you want reindeer fur, use reindeer fur. If that reindeer fur token is made into clothing, it inherits reindeer fur properties! The token itself cannot be used to make cloth cord, but once it is made into clothing that is possible. You can also use this to make kota cover! In the case of using 2 furs together, the one with the most ratio is inherited. This is like, a pass from the deity to take this amount from their area of domain. :") Animal Blessings: Allows the trading of the fur token to villagers(Simulate passing the spirit's gifts to other people). The price of these are the same as whatever fur it is used, including its weight. (reindeer blessing == reindeer fur, except you can only trade it now). All furs can be turned into this(Excluding the seals, which is the domain of Ahti). I mean, you shouldn't expect spirits to not be angry if you just pass their favor to you to other people without permission, could you? Tapio is king of the forest, the people pray to him for big game like elk, moose, etc. Ahti Prayers: Blessings: For the grey and ringed seals fur tokens. Seals and the aquatic creatures are under Ahti's watch. Fishes: All fishes! The bigger the fish, the more favor is used. Ahti is the deity that fisherman pray to for good luck for their catches! Seal hunters pray to him in hopes of catching seals. Huh.) V1 Changelog: Fixed fur cover rotting. ------------ Changelog v1.1 (As of URW Version 3.86.1 Stable, on 17th July 2025) - Submenu names have been changed to lower case, following syntax stated in mod_menudef_example.txt - Rituals and Prayers are now moved to the new mod's make menu. ! URWEP 1.1 - Smithing, Pottery, Seasonal Festival and much more! [3.86]
URWEP – URW Expanded Plasmator Mod (for Unreal World 3.86, now finally updated to the latest version!) After the legendary BAC (Brygun and Community Mod), URWEP is the largest expansion ever made for Unreal World, bringing massive depth and variety to survival, crafting, and roleplay. It expands every corner of the game world with new resources, professions, rituals, and ways to live your Iron Age life. This massive mod adds new plants, animals, crafting systems, rituals, festivals, mining, forging, and survival mechanics, taking your Iron Age experience to a whole new level. Explore the wild and gather hazelnuts, wild apples, rose hips, lentils, ramsons, and more, while fishing and harvesting clams, mussels, crayfish, and prawns. Cook massive meals in a giant cauldron, preserve food with berry jams, make butter, aged cheeses, mead, beer, and wine, or try new recipes like snail stew and enhanced fish soups. Expand your crafting skills with mining, forging, and smithing: smelt bog iron into steel, craft weapons and shields, and even create jewelry with precious metals and gems. Build clay pots, cups, bowls, and huge amphorae, or craft textiles from linen and hemp. Celebrate seasonal festivals and rites, honor your fallen with graves or cremations, and enjoy unique ritual items like drums, flutes, and masks. URWEP also introduces advanced survival features, from farming, composting, and straw harvesting to birdhouses, wells, roads, and fishing traps. In short, URWEP transforms Unreal World into a richer, more immersive survival sandbox, where every action—hunting, cooking, forging, or ritual—adds depth to your Iron Age life. HOW TO INSTALL Simply copy and paste all files in the URW directory Make a biy_glossary, diy_glossary and diy_cookery backup first! Bertmod - Player and NPC Portraits
Bertmod 0.1 Okay, this is my first URW mod, so please be gentle. What is it? It's a portrait replacer, though I've numbered the replacements so that unless you already have over 100 portraits, it will add rather than replace. It contains around 100 new portraits for players. How does it work? Simply extract the file into the truegfx folder, which you will find in your UnRealWorld folder. Is it any good? Not really, but it's only a 5.4mb download, so what have you got to lose?! I have been using AI to make photos of Iron-age Finnish people. This first version is focused on the Eastern tribes, the Kaumolainen etc., and for now only includes males. There are seven female portraits, but I haven't yet worked out how to make them show up. I think they might appear on NPCs, but they might not. Here are a few examples, I can increase the quality a lot, but I wanted to keep the initial version small. Also, WTF is the captain from Das Boot doing in the last image?! October 14, 2025, 10:11:46 PM |

Re: Bertmod - Player and NPC Portraits
Apologies, wife thinks dinner is more important than modding URW. Here is the file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ot8iUiot2f-XJ6P82caIg9vHbx0qSfuo/view?usp=drive_link Somebody please give it a try, and let me know if I've cocked it up or not! I have unlimited free access to the AI image generator, so I hope to expand the mod in future to include other tribes, old men, women, kids, sages, and maybe some terrain and scene pics too. In future I also plan to generate the images square rather than portrait, as that's what URW seems set for, and improve the quality some. I tried to nerf quality to upload here, but it told me I had a 4mb limit. I then split the file in two, and the forum then told me I had a 1mb limit, so I thought sod it and put it on Google Drive. 8-Directional Blacksmiths for Spirited Sprites
Krutzelpuntz's Spirited Sprites is a must-have in my game, but it came out before blacksmiths were added, so it doesn't have 8-directional blacksmith sprites. Until now! Here are blacksmith sprites for all three cultural variants (east, north, and west). I based them on the existing default blacksmiths and Spirited Sprites craftsmen for their respective cultures, and added a leather smock like the one the default blacksmith sprites wear. I thought about making it more of an apron, shorter in the back, and I might still rework them, but for now I decided the smock makes them easier to distinguish even when they're facing away from you. Just drop these three png files into your truetile folder and let them overwrite. If you see room for improvement, let me know, but I'll probably keep fine-tuning them as the mood strikes. There is a zip file attached but here are the individual png files for you to look at below (and here's an imgur gallery): Eastern ![]() Northern ![]() Western ![]() November 15, 2025, 11:44:28 AM |
