Wouldn't it be cool to see more NPCs having dark sides to them, even amongst the kin-folk? Maybe there could be quests added which involved you getting into disputes between villages or people, like stealing animals, destroying buildings, kidnapping or even murdering other villages unsuspiciously (all with appropriate loss of "karma", of course). Maybe Kullervo doesn't like Juha's loud mouth, and wants you to destroy his traps, or ruin the catch in his nets.

The bird thief is a somewhat criminal NPC, although you're on the other side in that quest.

Well in many starts your parents either kicked you out, were kidnapped, were murdered, were burned to death.

None of that is in the actual gameplay though

I think they can add a great moral dilemma into the game. Maybe one village's all animals have perished, and out of desperation they decide to steal some animals. Will you help the poor villagers or you think that no matter what the circumstances are one shouldn't commit such a thing. They might add a greater immersion and personality into the villages and into your character.
But obviously these kind of quests would require a huge scenario to be built, and all the AI and everything need to be coded in also.

A modified escort/robber quest to take a war band against a njerp camp?
-
or maybe even take Njerp raiding party to a another cultural area... (how that quest would be given, well, nefarious folks might have their ways?)
Or Reemi/Kiesse/Kaumo group to raid/avenge Sarto/Driik area...?

Yes, it would, and we would like to add several quests that test your morale and include this sort of malevolent content. Few quests already have this sort of motives for some of the people involved. Also, tribal disagreements and even occasional warfares fall into this category. That’s also something on our want-to-do lists.
