Bug reports / [3.82] Foreign Traders near villages can indicate someone is giving out a quest

Foreign Traders near villages that have someone giving out a quest have the dialogue "our (villager name) needs help" as if they live in the village

edit: We were two overworld tiles away from the village, standing in the surrounding field. I tried to use imgur and the insert image feature but it didn't work

Hello, Ive got another quest question.

I've heard about this quest being a bit of a pain but this is my first time getting it. I threw the three feathers onto the burnt out fire on a base rock tile, but I only have five total feathers from the theft.

Can I pick up the feathers I used in the spell in case I need to redo the spell, or should I leave them there and hope it works the first time?

Gameplay questions / Does snow depth effect npcs combat abilities?

My best run of 357 days just died to a Njerp who was dodging every attack I did, while wearing leather shoes in waist deep snow. I had ski's and ~110 lbs on me from what I remember, not realizing there was a war camp on the west end of kaumo lands.

My question is does snow depth effect npc combat abilities? does it effect the players? I never got a message saying something like "the snow makes it hard to attack"

Gameplay questions / [Spoilers] Forest Cow Quest

I was given a quest to find a cow that had wandered off from a village and gotten taken into "forest cover". The quest says to look for the tracks then perform a new ritual on the freshest tracks I can find to make the cow visible.

 it has been 10 in game days of searching column by column, sometimes zooming in and spinning around, and other times using the tracking skill on the overworld map with no sign of the cow tracks.

It is the earlier part of winter with knee deep snow and I have 73% tracking skill if it matters much.

Does anyone have any tips to help find the cow, or is it just pure luck of finding the tracks?

On my most recent playthrough i've decided to try to use farming/plants this time. I've noticed on Milkweeds and Nettles that using 'g' to pickup and using the skill [A]griculture to harvest the plant produces different products. Is there any difference between say "Milkweed leaves" and "Milkweeds"?

Suggestions / Ability to open and close shutters

I think it would be nice to be able to open and close shutters with the C key like doors are. that way one could see outside when they want, say to check on animals or traps outside, but close the shutters so they do not get interrupted by birds or other animals while doing tasks.

Gameplay questions / How long can i keep seeds?

I've never done agriculture before, but i would like to be able to try on my current character.

I've found some turnip seeds in a village and was wondering if I could trade for them now, and wait until months or maybe a year later before planting. Is there a point where seeds go "bad" and are no longer plantable?

In my current play through I managed to find a herd of reindeer sitting on a hill. I threw my spear at one and managed to hit its hind leg but did not manage to get the kill before needing to sleep.

My question is; is there any chance that ill find this specific reindeer, and have a shot at getting my spear back? or did it despawn completely because I slept?
