Re: Putting Out Fires You can kick fences down faster than you can deconstruct them.
Walls, no luck.
Zooming out, walking away and hoping for best works ok-ish too.

But yes, dousing with water would be nice. Applying shovel to cover low fires with sand (or wet dirt) would be welcome too.

Re: You end the task confused Usually it’s a tool of sorts. Handaxe or knife , maybe other utility items can go missing too.

I guess it’s similar to getting Influenza; randomizer throwing “mishap” your way.

At least I’ve never managed to find the missing item. Often it’s a handaxe in the early game, you’re moving on world map and then you get the “it’s gone”  :'(
Zooming in, looking around and backtracking to previous wilderness tile never has materialized the missing item.

Re: Streaming UnReal World. Any advice and suggestions? Most let’s-play videos benefit immensely from some narration. Accent doesn’t really matter.
It doesn’t need to be annotated for each and every move, but generic, surprising and funny bits.
E.g. “ok, got a good pile of furs tanned, maybe make a trip to the coast to barter for some nice tools/weapons”, get some dried meats from cellar, ”that should be enough food for the trip”, hit the road, see adventurer type in distance:”hmm, I wonder if that’s adventurer... or band of robbers, better stay at safe distance, don’t want to lose all these furs” and so on.

Stuff that you as player think what you’re doing, going to do.

Foreign Traders’ trading and merchandise. 2 part suggestion to add flexibility and variations to Foreign Traders.

1st part, (possibly costly to implement, but with trading benefits applicable to villages too)
When selecting items for trade, allow selection from all of the traders inventories. At the moment, we need to deal with each trader individually, and as the traders don’t offer “change” for more expensive furs, often wasteful and also IRL time consuming trying to juggle the bartering to 1) be accepted 2) not overpay for the goods.

2nd part, add Salt, also in smaller containers than bags to their offered goods. Birchbark boxes and baskets, possibly pouches (2-3lbs) and satchels 4-6lbs). Infrequently have them also carry and offer for sale period correct, foreign/exotic weapons: franciscas, Dane axes, langseaxes, winged thrusting spears, hewing or chopping spears ‘höggspjót’, barbed throwing spears ‘krókspjót’, halberds ‘atgeir’. As for skills needed/used: francisca and Dane are axe, langseax could use either knife or sword, all spears use spear, höggspjót and halberd: spear for thrusting, maybe axe for cutting, or KISS and only use spear.
Maybe some peculiar plants too: carrots, lettuce (cabbages at least were in previously), hogweed, onions.

Re: Best equipment for hide working In my experience: no. The work surface doesn’t affect the hideworking outcome.
I’m suspecting that knife and beater quality modifiers do affect the outcome.
I.e. with low-mid range Hideworking, I don’t seem to get quality drop using fine club as beater, when tanning away from cabin, using a rock or decent club occasionally does degrade the quality. If I carry a fine club or craft additional fine club for remote shelters, the quality doesn’t seem to drop either.

i just spawned, i think i did the not all who wander are lost start 2 tiles down there was a bear so I dropped everything tied up pig and charged the bear with an axe in each hand i think i only got a bruise

Speed+Agility = Dodge.
And keep your thumbs up (that’s the Finnish version for ‘fingers crossed’)

I spawned Janne Sartolainen with Unfortunate hunting trip. Spring start (always) Rough hunting knife, MW linen tunic and MW trousers, like whaaaat? I put points in knife, unarmed and bow, carpentry, hideworking. Track down the bear. Throw a rock at it. It aggroes. Charges. Throw another rock. Third. Step back. Slash with the knife for puny hit. Dodge. Slash again, miss. Dodge, nope. Mauled. Stand up, mauled again. Slash, miss. Dodge, nope: dead.

LOL. And my other guys have taken several bears with no issues or minor wounds.

Teppo *1, started in spring too. Went to help wounded adventurer, bear, boom.  Ended up with both elbows busted at 81% wounds. He survived that and has killed 3 more bears since. He lives still though (I’m running Taneli *2 at the moment)

*1 good sized dude, 223lbs, specced for sword, shield, spear. Managed to loot and trade for nearly full metal set. Well, full, not 100% condition. 4 bears.

*2 pretty decent size at 190ish lbs, specced for knife, axe, bow, carpentry x2 (those fine/superior arrows.... mmm hmmm....) only MW spectacle helmet and boar leather cuirass so far. Looted 9lbs lamellar shin guards, not using them, not worth the penalty really. 2 bears.
