Re: New look of rain a bit hard on the eyes During rain and snow i can't see that shape for examining something when i press F3. Especially when i'm in wilderness. Change it to something else. Green color is not good because almost everything on map is green.

My image (click the link) shows an example. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ot0m05jd2l2pd16/F3.png?dl=0

QoL - Different font color for worn items. It hasn't happened yet, but one of these days I will sell one of my worn items accidentally. I like to haggle, a lot!

A simple font color change for worn items would be great.

Re: "Make" trees and animal kids Also your animal birth rate is off while gestation for most animals are shorter than humans you need to take into account the added time to wean young and more importantly the physical strain and food demands would keep most animals other than small rodent like creature to one offspring per year. Also even in, the balmy, compared to Finland, 40° latitudes where I hail from winter is nasty enough to keep most animals to a seasonal birth pattern and to one birth a year. To piggy back on this suggestion Sammi when you implement birth female dog's hunting abilities should be hampered at a certain level of pregnancy.

"Excuse me, sir... Could you tell me about this plant?" It would be nice to be able to ask shamen in towns about the local plant life.  Sometimes, when in a foreign area or if your herblore skill is poor, you will see plants growing around the neighborhood or in the fields and have no idea what they are.  You can't steal leaves or flowers to identify them, but why couldn't you just ask a friendly local?   It seems logical to me.

I'm not sure how this would work, exactly, since you would have to indicate a nearby plant.  Or, another alternative is that you could show the leaves or flowers to a sage and he could tell you.  This would not add to your herblore skill, and you would not be able to recognize the plant on your own without more practice, but you (the player) would have to remember, "Ah, pretty grass = bear pipe".

What do you think, good idea? or does it rob the gameplay of a necessary element of mystery?  Or is it just too impractical to implement?  Thanks!

Re: "Make" trees and animal kids You're looking for a different kind of game... UrW is based on reality with the magic based on actual historical beliefs regarding the magic. In addition there are a few things that are unrealistic because of imperfections in the simulation and concessions made for playability.

One of the imperfections of the simulation is that slash-and-burn farming exhausts the soil in a few years, so the farm plots have to be moved, which eventually leads to a need to move the homestead/village. However, I think soil depletion is one of the things that is intended to be implemented.

Re: What's Going On In Your Unreal World? Spotted a wolf pack on the outskirts of a Reemi pasture dug a trap pit. I hired a hunter to watch my back. When we returned to the trap the other members of the pack attacked him nearly bit is neck in half first attack. Oddly the pack didn't come after me. I attacked the trapped wolf knowing that it's mates would come I a quickly backed into a tree thicket so they couldn't attack from behind. After a few attacks the pack scattered. I built a dead fall trap near by, and reset the pit trap with fresh *cough* meat. Over the next few days by my hands, hounds, or traps I took 6 wolves one attacked and killed a villager, they killed that one, for a total of 7 I think that is all of that pack

Re: What's Going On In Your Unreal World? I have made pot!!!!

- Novrus

My stalwart inspiration for a self assigned creative writing has finally  made a cooking pot! Along the way he had to travel from his homeland, work for seeds, make fields, build traps, stockpile materials before the ice, make a house, harvest crops, make a smithy, build tools and now he has made a pot!

Wooo! About a 6 month journey to get here.

FYI the journal is long which I hope you will enjoy. I started a  little over 2 weeks ago and it has surpassed 30,000 words.
